Why is NoLiner technology environmental-friendly?
Many companies are looking toward more sustainable solutions for their production. Especially in the food industry, we see a sustainability trend. People expect more environmental-friendly products. This includes how the product is created and what the packaging material is made of. This is why we have developed a labeling machine for labels without backing: the Legi-Air 2050 NoLiner. That way you use less label material, have less waste and save the environment!
How exactly does NoLiner labeling work?
The NoLiner label is applied by wetting it. It does not have a backing with silicone to remove the label from, but a dry adhesive layer. Wetting the dry adhesive layer makes the adhesive soft and active. The label is then printed, cut by a cutter and placed on the label dispenser. The special feature of this process is that very little water is used to apply the label. For example, an A6 label needs only 0.8 grams of water to become completely wet.
What application is suitable for NoLiner labeling?
Because of the moisture in the label, NoLiner labeling is only suitable for absorbent surfaces. Almost all absorbent surfaces, such as cardboard or boxes, can be labeled with this technology.
Benefits of NoLiner labeling
The biggest advantage is the capacity of a NoLiner label roll. There are almost twice as many labels on a roll than on a label roll with backing. This saves setup time and inventory and reduces down time.
The cost advantage is that the NoLiner roll is much cheaper. This saves purchasing time and costs.
The final advantage is the flexibility of the system. With self-adhesive labels with backing, you always have to change the label roll, depending on the length of the label. That is a thing of the past with the Legi-Air NoLiner, which uses an endless roll and can be cut to any length.
What business is suitable for NoLiner?
The Legi-Air 2050 Noliner is a small and compact device. This makes it ideal for smaller productions, but also for larger companies or logistics processes with larger quantities. And the Noliner is also interesting for smaller or medium-sized companies because the label can be designed in different ways. The printer automatically cuts the label as required in the process. So actually it is interesting for everyone who wants to label more sustainably.
